Emily MacKenzie has been obsessed with the camera ever since her best friend in 5th grade was given a video camera. After contemplating the endless possibilities this camera could lead to, Emily and her friend decided to make a fake commercial about the most abundantly recycled item in the neighbor’s garage: Molsen Ice beer. This would have been the most memorable commercial masterpiece of all time, had Emily’s mother not taped over her first-ever video project with the Tom Hanks film, “Castaway.”

Since then, Emily has continued to do what she loves most--Photographing people, creating films and documenting theatrical productions. She has patience, a keen eye for detail and a passionate drive to form art through all sorts of visual media.

Emily works as a film director, freelance videographer, freelance photographer, theatrical photographer, writer, film editor and costume designer.
